ISP 3 Protection (PDF
DATA SHEET) |
Surge Protection redirects high energy
transients harmlessly to earth and away from associated equipment and operators.
|
Electrical transients and voltage surges can
happen anywhere, at anytime and are totally unpredictable. They wreck havoc on electronic systems that are the
life blood of nearly every business and institution around the globe. The ISP3 inline connector offers the most
cost effective form of protection. Audible Alarm
Easy to install - no specialist knowledge required |

Applications [back to

|
Protects PC's, Colour Monitors, Scanners,
Printers & Plotters, Fax Machines and other equipment using the standard IEC power inlet that requires continuous
electrical power. |
Every Inline Surge Protector is tested to
ensure very fast operation and minimum let through voltage. The unit appears invisible to the mains filter fitted
inside modern electronic equipment. This state of the art patented product provides cost effective mains transient
protection. |

Features [back to
top] |
- Flame retardant moulding
- Thermal overload protection
fitted as standard
- 70dB @ 8cm audible alarm when
protection is overloaded
- Noise free operation with
automatic reset after transient has passed
- Incoming and outgoing surges
are dissipated so 'no fault found' service calls are reduced and
- equipment performance is
improved.
|
The unit has a power 'ON' indicator light to show
that the product is operational and an audible alarm to announce when the unit needs replacement should the
integral three mode surge protector be overloaded due to a severe surge. In such a case the ISP3 unit must be
replaced to restore surge protection. Meanwhile, power to the associated equipment continues to operate normally
without surge protection. The audible alarm allows the ISP3 unit to be positioned out of sight. |

Regulations [back to
top] |
- Protection elements comply with latest issue of UL 1449 Transient Voltage Surge Suppressers
(Aug 96)
- Complies with the IT safety standard EN 60950
- Satisfies the recommendations of BS6651 1991 Appendix C
|
The internal surge suppressers are tested against
'worst case' conditions as defined in International Standards IEEE C62.41-1991 Cat. B2 (test wave 8/20us) |
