Protection
|
Surge
Protection redirects high energy transients harmlessly to earth and away from
associated equipment and operators.
|
Instant
protection, using the new C5 'Clover leaf' connector.
 |
|
Applications
|
Electronic
equipment using the new C5 'Clover leaf' connector ie; IBM / Dell / Apple /
Compaq notebooks. |
Every
Inline Surge Protector is tested to ensure very fast operation and minimum let
through voltage. The unit appears invisible to the mains filter fitted inside
modern electronic equipment. This state of the art patented product provides
cost effective mains transient protection. |

Features
- Flame retardant molding
- Thermal overload protection fitted as standard
- Noise free operation with automatic reset after transient has passed
- Incoming and outgoing surges are dissipated so 'no fault found' service calls are reduced and
- equipment performance is improved.
|
The ISP6 has a
neon light which indicates protection operational. The light will extinguish
should a high energy strike destroy the internal protector, however power will
still be supplied to the associated equipment. Should the light go out the
unit must be replaced to restore surge protection. |
|
Regulations
- Protection elements comply with latest issue of UL 1449
Transient Voltage Surge Suppressers (Aug 96)
- Complies with the IT safety standard EN 60950
- Satisfies the recommendations of BS6651 1991 Appendix C
|
The internal
surge suppressers are tested against 'worst case' conditions as defined in
International Standards IEEE C62.41-1991 Cat. B2 (test wave 8/20us) |
